At Luminous Care Group, we are proud to support the residents of Crossways Residential Home, a welcoming 24-bed care home located just a short five-minute walk from the beautiful Sheringham seafront and town centre. There are transport links close by, including the award-winning heritage railway, the Poppy Line.

Crossways offers a warm and homely atmosphere, surrounded by a lovely garden where residents can relax, enjoy nature, and socialise. The team provides person centred support tailored to each individual’s needs, with a focus on dignity, comfort, and well-being. There are many activities to choose from, and the home has strong links with local North Norfolk groups. Hearty home baked food is the norm with lots of choice on offer.

Our experienced and friendly care team ensures that every resident feels safe, supported, and part of a caring community. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to lead a meaningful and happy life.

Home Manager

I am an experienced Care Home Manager with nearly 30 years of dedicated service in the health and social care sector, including almost 20 years in management. My career began as a Care Assistant, and through hard work, commitment, and a genuine passion for caring for others, I progressed through each role within the care environment before becoming a Care Home Manager, including Operations Manager. This journey has given me a thorough understanding of every aspect of residential care and a deep appreciation of the invaluable contribution each member of the team makes. Having experienced the responsibilities of each role firsthand, I lead with empathy, practical knowledge, and respect, ensuring that every member of staff feels supported, valued, and empowered to provide outstanding care.

Throughout my career, I have remained committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered care that enables residents to live with dignity, comfort, and purpose. I believe that exceptional care is built on kindness, compassion, and strong relationships, and I strive to create an environment where residents feel at home, families feel reassured, and staff are proud to work.

As a manager for nearly two decades, I have focused on building positive, motivated teams through mentoring, coaching, and continuous professional development. I believe in leading by example and fostering a culture of openness, accountability, and continuous improvement, where everyone is encouraged to develop their skills and reach their full potential.

Over the years, I have seen the care sector evolve, but my commitment has remained constant—to provide exceptional care while promoting dignity, respect, and individuality for every resident. I am passionate about working collaboratively with residents, their families, healthcare professionals, and the wider community to achieve the best possible outcomes. Seeing residents happy, safe, and living fulfilling lives is the greatest reward of my role, and I remain dedicated to inspiring those around me to deliver the highest standards of care every day.
